The Managing Director’s New Year Message

Dear All,

Happy New Year to everybody and thanks for being part of the SmadeandSmight Family.

I want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone for your hard work and dedication to our startup studio and to our loyal customers for their support. Your efforts and passion were the weapons we used to survive through the year 2022. Thank you. 

If you spare me a breath on the concept of a startup studio, It is a company that helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas into new businesses. The essence of a Startup Studio like ours is to build companies and to exit companies. We have known what it means to build a product, now is the time for exits which basically means selling part or the whole of a company in return for profit. Most recently. we have been able to exit one of our companies – PayMi. This is a modicum of success and I would like to congratulate us all.

I know that building a startup is not easy, and there have been many challenges and setbacks along the way. But I have complete faith in our team and know that we have the determination and resilience to overcome any obstacle that comes our way. In fact, I am constantly amazed by the creativity and drive that each and every one of you brings to the table every day. The willingness to take risks and try new things sets us apart from other companies and drives our success.

This year, the paramount goal is to build companies that will be valued at at least 1 billion Naira each in 9 months. With this said, achieving an exit would be the next objective for us. This will enable us to generate funds for the company and improve the organization’s emolument (salary, health insurance, welfare, bonuses, etc.) to the obtainable standard. This year, we resume our pursuit of this goal – To make SmadeandSmight a one-stop shop for all-round career development that covers business, daily work activities, self-development, investment opportunities, long-term friendships, remuneration, and sustenance.
